Krista Joy Niles is the senior social media and audience manager at the Chronicle of Philanthropy, where she leads social strategy and digital content. She previously held communications and social media roles at Rochester Institute of Technology, Alice Paul Center for Gender Justice, and Canandaigua National Bank & Trust. Earlier in her career, she spent 13 years as a photojournalist and editor for newspapers and wire services, including contributing to the New York Times' September 11 coverage, which won the 2002 Pulitzer Prize. She holds a master's degree in art history from the University of Arizona and a bachelor's degree in photojournalism from San Francisco State University. She is based in western New York and runs a small business offering home décor and fine art.
