Libby Sander is a freelance writer and editor who was formerly a senior reporter for the Chronicle of Higher Education. Before arriving at the Chronicle, Sander was a full-time freelance reporter for the national desk of the New York Times, filing breaking news and feature stories from the newspaper’s Chicago bureau.

Sander holds a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in history from Bryn Mawr College, where she was a two-time captain of the college’s Division III field-hockey team.
