16 Funds Pool Money for Child Care

Sixteen foundations have announced that they are pooling their grant money to strengthen the quality of child-care centers and other early-childhood programs across the country. They have recently made $2.4-million in grants and plan to give out more money in the future.

The organizations from the Early Childhood Funders Collaborative are joining forces with 22 corporations that are members of the American Business Collaborative for Quality Dependent Care. The corporations have given $9.4-million to date.
