Anonymous Donor Gives $5-Million to Calif. University

A Los Angeles businessman who asked to remain anonymous has given $5-million to the University of California at Irvine for its pediatrics department, reports the Los Angeles Times.

The money, which marks the largest donation to the department, will endow chairs for new programs, the department’s chairman, Feizal Waffarn, tells the Times.
