Bids for Buffett’s 2007 Charity-Lunch Auction Fall Short

A lunch with Warren Buffett, auctioned on eBay to benefit a San Francisco charity, has one day to go, but so far has raised only half of what the lunch brought last year, reports Reuters.
Mr. Buffett is auctioning a meal with himself at a steakhouse in New York to benefit the Glide Foundation, which serves poor and homeless people. As of this morning, the high bid was $312,121.21 — little more than half of the $620,100 that Yongping Duan, an investor and businessman, paid last year. Mr. Buffett has been auctioning the lunches since 2000.
