Charity Flight Ends in Tragedy

A cancer patient, his wife, and the pilot who had volunteered to fly them to Boston for cancer treatment, died this week when the small plane they were in crashed into a parking lot in Easton, Mass., reports The Boston Globe.
The deaths were the first injuries or fatalities experienced by the nonprofit organization Angel Flight New England in the 12 years it has flown, the Globe reports. The charity is a network of volunteer pilots who help get patients to medical care.
