Correction: Casey Foundation and Acorn

A report in Friday’s Philanthropy Today summarizing a National Public Radio report noted that the Annie E. Casey Foundation was one of several foundations to pull its support of the community-organizing group Acorn because of a scandal that erupted this fall. Casey officials say they told NPR that the foundation stopped its support in early 2009 when a grant expired, as planned.
