Following are corrections in the Philanthropy 400 chart, The Chronicle’s annual ranking of the charities that raise the most in private donations:

Figures supplied by the American Lung Association did not include all the grants received from corporations. The charity raised $119,436,000 in 1997, and should have been ranked No. 56.

The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, in Boston, should have been included in the Philanthropy 400 and ranked No. 257. For the year ending September 30, 1997, the institute raised $32,690,141, and had a total income of $229,836,998. It had $131,904,119 in program expenses; $4,729,250 in fund-raising expenses; and $179,069,929 in total expenses.
