Duke U. Receives $40-Million Grant for Faculty Support

Duke University has received a $40-million grant from the Duke Endowment, a private foundation that operates separately from the university, to endow 32 faculty positions in undergraduate education, reports The Chronicle of Higher Education.
Some $25-million will support 10 assistant professorships and 10 associate professorships, while the remainder will be used to match additional gifts to endow 12 positions for full professors.
