Environmental Groups Share Cause With Evangelical Christians

An effort by British bishops and leaders of major U.S. environmental groups to bridge the often acrimonious divide between environmentalists and evangelicals is finally showing signs of success, reports The Washington Post.
Joel C. Hunter, an evangelical pastor in Florida, says concerns about global warming have brought the two groups together.
“It’s a matter of who speaks for evangelicals: Is it a broad range of voices on a broad range of issues, or a narrow range of voices?” says Mr. Hunter, who has emerged as an important advocate for cutting greenhouse-gas emissions that scientists say are warming Earth’s climate.
