Foundation Gives $20-Million to the California Academy of Sciences

The California Academy of Sciences has received a grant of $20-million from the Bernard Osher Foundation to help create a rain-forest exhibit and a “living roof” covered in two and a half acres of plants, reports The San Francisco Chronicle.
The roof will provide a home to insects and animals, and the rain-forest building will be four stories high. The $300-million project is expected to open to the public in October 2008.
