Gates Foundation Teams Up With Top Soccer Club on Malaria Campaign

The world’s largest philanthropy and one of the world’s best soccer teams are joining forces to tackle the spread of malaria, The Seattle Times reports.
FC Barcelona — the winner of the 2009 Champions League, Europe’s premier soccer-club competition — has enlisted in the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s United Against Malaria, a coalition of teams, celebrities, corporations, and nonprofit groups that aims to raise awareness of the disease.
