Merger Mania Is Not Yet a Force in the Nonprofit World

An anticipated wave of recession-fueled charity mergers has not materialized, according to Crain’s Chicago Business.

Many nonprofit groups remain “intrigued” by mergers, said Jean Butzen, president of the consulting group Mission Plus Strategy, but lack money for such unions, which can have significant logistical costs.
