Monuments Fund Hails Rockefeller’s Ocean Work

David Rockefeller Jr. will be honored by the World Monuments Fund at a New York gala Thursday night for his contributions to conserving Earth’s oceans, according to Bloomberg.

The 68-year-old son of banker and philanthropist David Rockefeller and founder of the anti-pollution charity Sailors for the Sea, in Newport, R.I., will receive the preservation group’s Hadrian Award.
