Obituary: Grace Rollins, 98, Emory University Benefactor
August 12, 2009
Grace Crum Rollins, whose gifts to Emory University led the Atlanta institution to name its school of public health for her, died Saturday of natural causes at the age of 98, reports The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Ms. Rollins, who passed away at Emory’s hospital, committed $50-million two years ago to the school of public health. An unrestricted gift nine years earlier had helped the school establish an endowment fund named for Ms. Rollins and her late husband, Orville Wayne, also a major donor.
