Paintings Stolen From French Museum

A team of armed, masked robbers made off with a Monet and three other high-profile paintings from the Museum of Fine Arts, in Nice, France, this weekend, reports The Washington Post.
Police say the artworks’ value is “inestimable.” Two of the paintings were on loan from the Musee d’Orsay, in Paris.
The robbers “were really bold and quick, it took them only 10 minutes,” Patricia Grimaud, deputy curator in Nice, told The Post. “I can’t find the right words to describe what they did.”
Museum officials say selling such stolen works would be impossible.
