Peace Museum Makes Bid for Obama Nobel Donation

The Dayton International Peace Museum, in Ohio, is campaigning for a piece of President Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize money, reports the Associated Press.
Volunteers and supporters of the museum, which opened in 2005 in the city where the accord that ended the 1990s Balkan wars was signed, are writing to the White House to encourage the president to make a donation. Dayton’s Mayor, Rhine McLin, said city leaders will join the effort.
Mr. Obama has pledged to donate his $1.4-million cash award to charity when he accepts the prize in December, but he has not yet designated any recipients.
