Pentagon Official Paid by Nonprofit Contractor Dies

The Air Force official whose “no-work” contract was paid by a Pennsylvania nonprofit organization apparently committed suicide, according to an internal Air Force memo, reports The Washington Post.

Charles D. Riechers was the focus of a Post article this month, which reported on his employment at the Commonwealth Research Institute during a time in which he said he worked for the assistant Air Force secretary for acquisition, the newspaper reports.
