Search Engine Focuses on Grant Makers’ Sites

The Foundation Center’s Web site now features a specialized search engine that allows visitors to search the Web sites of more than 1,000 grant makers.
Users of the “Grantmaker Web Search” can select which types of grant makers — private and community foundations, corporate grant makers, or charities that award grants — whose Web sites they would like to search.
For example, a search of private foundations using the search term “program-related investments” yields 139 results. Among the results are links to grant makers’ guidelines for program-related investments, annual reports, and financial statements.
