Texas Tech Medical School Gets $50-Million

The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, in El Paso, has received a $50-million gift from a local philanthropist, reports the El Paso Times.

University officials have not decided how to spend the cash gift from Paul L. Foster, chief executive of Western Refining. Mr. Foster, whose name will now grace the medical school, previously donated money to revamp a theater and a college-basketball stadium in El Paso.
