Think Tank Sues Former Employees and a Major Donor

A conservative think tank in Delaware has sued three former employees, saying they stole sensitive information, reports The Delaware News Journal. The lawsuit also covers a major donor to the organization.

The Intercollegiate Studies Institute accused three employees, all fired last month, of stealing a “highly sensitive” roster of university faculty members sympathetic to its cause. The institute sponsors forums and education conferences around the country, and it said it believes the employees want to form their own organization.

The fourth person accused is Jim Miller, a major supporter of the institute. In addition to wanting the names and contact information returned, the institute has asked Mr. Miller to honor a $1.5-million pledge he made for next year.

Mr. Miller had been unhappy with attention other donors to the institute received, even asking that they be dropped, the lawsuit says. He promised to make up for any shortfalls from such a move out of his own pocket.

None of the officials accused in the lawsuit, or Mr. Miller, offered their view of the charges in the article.
