United Way of New York Appoints New Leader

The United Way of New York City has appointed Gordon J. Campbell as its new chief executive officer, effective October 1, the organization announced.
He succeeds Lawrence Mandell, who retired last month.
Mr. Campbell was previously chief executive officer of Safe Horizon, a victim-assistance organization in New York. He also has served as the Commissioner of the city’s Department of Homeless Services and chief of staff to its first deputy mayor.
