Update: British Postal Workers Lift Holiday Strike Threat

Postal workers in Britain agreed November 5 to cancel all planned work stoppages through the Christmas season as their union moved closer to a deal with the national mail service, The Independent reports.
British charities had voiced alarms that postal strikes would hurt holiday fund raising through direct mail, sales of Christmas cards, and other seasonal campaigns.
