A new Web site helps non-profit organizations automate many of the tasks that go into organizing special events.
Non-profit organizations can use seeUthere.com to send invitations and reminders about events, tally R.S.V.P.’s, sell tickets, and accept donations.
The seeUthere.com service is designed to help organizations also reach members who do not have access to the Internet. In addition to e-mail, seeUthere.com can also send faxes, postcards, and letters. Guests can respond either on line or via an automated telephone line.
There is no charge to send e-mail invitations and reminders or to accept e-mail R.S.V.P.’s. But charities pay fees for other forms of communication sent to members.
SeeUthere.com also creates a free Web site for each event that is registered with the service. Organizations can use the site to provide their members with directions and updates about the event and to track how many people have responded and how many tickets have been sold.
