Mr. Rubenstein made large donations to at least 11 nonprofits in 2013. He pledged the biggest amount, $50-million, to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Mr. and Ms. Kern pledged $67.3-million to the Mayo Clinic’s Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery.
