- Women in Nonprofits, Technology Assistance Providers –or WIN-TAP — is a new e-mail discussion list for women who help nonprofit groups deal with technology, either as an employee or as a volunteer. The list grew out of discussions at a conference of nonprofit technology experts. To subscribe: Go to http://www.mnforum.org/mailman/listinfo/win-tap.
- In its 2001 Best of the Bay issue, the San Francisco Bay Guardian named CompuMentor, a charity that provides technology assistance to other nonprofit groups, as Best Place to Volunteer After You’ve Been Laid Off. The weekly alternative paper wrote, “You won’t get rich quick, but you weren’t in it for the money anyway, right?” To get there: Go to http://www.bestofthebay.com.
