Foundation Requests for Proposals for Covid-19 Relief (June 2)

Here are notable new requests for proposals (RFPs) specifically for the Covid-19 outbreak, compiled by the Chronicle:
Disability Foundation
The Disability Foundation is accepting proposals from organizations that are working through the pandemic to help people living with disabilities. Eligible organizations must offer direct services to people with disabilities. Grants worth up to $10,000 each will pay for operating needs created directly by the Covid-19 crisis, and other needs directly related to services. Proposals are due June 12.
Mosaic
Mosaic is making grants through its Covid-19 Rapid Response Infrastructure RFP to support conservation organizations and grass-roots networks that work in environmental protection or justice. Grass-roots organizations that have an annual budget below $500,000 can apply for grant awards of up to $10,000 each for tools, technology, training, and resources to transition to effective remote work and communications as a result of the pandemic. Networks that support such grass-roots organizations can apply for up to $50,000. Applications are due June 12 for the second round of funding, and July 2 for the third round.
Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is making grants through its Emergency Response for the Health Care System Innovation Challenge. Eligible applicants include organizations that are developing digital tools to support the health care system during large-scale health crises, including pandemics, natural disasters, and other public-health emergencies. Applications are due June 12.
Solano Community Foundation
The Solano Community Foundation is accepting applications for funding through its 2020 Covid-19 Emergency Response Grant program. Charitable organizations that serve residents of California’s Solano County are eligible to apply for grants worth up to $10,000 to pay for immediate needs. Applications are due June 30.
Southwest Initiative Foundation
The Southwest Initiative Foundation is accepting applications from nonprofit organizations that address basic needs during the Covid-19 crisis in southwest Minnesota. Funding for the program comes from the Minnesota Disaster Recovery Fund. Focus areas include food security, mental health, domestic violence, and homelessness. Grants worth up to $5,000 will be awarded until the fund is depleted. Applications are due by July 1.
Stevens Initiative
The Stevens Initiative Coronavirus Response Fund will make grants to support education and nonprofit organizations in the United States, the Middle East, and North Africa as they conduct virtual programs to engage young people and educators affected by the pandemic. Grants are worth between $20,000 and $100,000 each. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until June 12.
Under Armour
The athletic-wear company Under Armour is accepting applications for funding through its Pride Grant Program to alleviate financial hardship caused by the Covid-19 pandemic among community-focused nonprofit groups that work with lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and queer athletes in Baltimore and Austin, Tex. Eligible organizations that are facing a budget crisis can apply for a one-time grant worth between $2,500 and $15,000. Applications are due June 10.
