This interactive table features the Chronicle’s annual ranking of the 400 charities that have raised the most money from private sources in our 1991 to 2017 surveys. Use the top menu to filter the rankings by year, state, or type of organization. Click on a nonprofit name to see its ranking history and its year-by-year figures for private support and total income.

Notes

Because The Chronicle updates the data in previous years’ Philanthropy 400 reports, some rankings in past years have changed since publication. Figures may change to correct errors or fill in up-to-date data where it was previously missing
