The Metropolitan Museum of Art announced plans Thursday to host a select forum for museum officials from around the world, The Wall Street Journal writes.

The Global Museum Leaders Colloquium, scheduled for April 2014, will cover major issues facing museums, such as curatorial research, governance, fundraising, collections management, and digital communications. The 12 to 15 invited participants will be named in November.

“Given the breadth and depth of our holdings, it is our responsibility to encourage a dialogue that can benefit museums worldwide, one that reinforces their relevance and encourages their appropriate stewardship,” Met director and CEO Thomas Campbell said in a statement.
