Academy of Natural Sciences (Philadelphia): Appointed Amy Miller Marvin, vice president for institutional advancement at the Bishop Museum (Honolulu), to be vice president for institutional advancement.

Allied Health Research Institute (St. Louis): Appointed Sean Elizabeth Maloney, senior vice president of clinical research and development at RehabCare (St. Louis), to be executive director.

Alzheimer’s Association, California Southland Chapter (Los Angeles): Appointed Bettina Kurowski, owner of a consulting firm that bears her name in Encino, Calif., to be president and chief executive officer.

American Jewish World Service (New York): Appointed Laura Talmus, owner of a consulting firm that bears her name (Kentfield, Calif.), to be Western region director, based in San Francisco.

Anti-Defamation League (New York): Announced the death of William Korey, former director, on August 26. He was 87.

Brooklyn Children’s Museum (New York): Appointed Georginia Ngozi, president of the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry (Charleston, S.C.), to be president and chief executive. She succeeds Carol Enseki, who is retiring.

Chrysalis (Los Angeles): Appointed Mark Loranger, vice president of Chrysalis Enterprises, to be president and chief executive officer. The organization has also appointed Trevor Kale, director of operations at Chrysalis Enterprises, to be vice president of Chrysalis Enterprises. Chrysalis provides job opportunities for poor and homeless people.

Cleveland Museum of Art: Appointed Deborah Gribbon, director of the J. Paul Getty Museum and vice president of the J. Paul Getty Trust (Los Angeles), to be interim director. Ms. Gribbon succeeds Timothy Rub, who is now the director of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Colorado Association of Funders (Denver): Appointed Joanne Kelly, journalist at the Rocky Mountain News, to be executive director.

Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art (Bentonville, Ark.): Appointed Don Bacigalupi, director and chief executive officer of the Toledo Museum of Art, to be director.

Fifth Avenue Theatre (Seattle): Announced the retirement of Marilynn Sheldon, managing director, effective in December.

Refugees International (Washington): Announced the death of Kenneth H. Bacon, president, on August 15. He was 64.
