Benefit Show Raises Funds for Boston Bombing Victims

Rock band Aerosmith headlined as one of more than a dozen acts performing on Thursday night at TD Garden in Boston to raise money for victims of last month’s marathon bombing, according to Reuters.
Proceeds from the tickets, priced from $35 to $285, will go to the One Fund, established by Boston Mayor Thomas Menino and Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and run by Kenneth Feinberg, the lawyer who also headed similar funds for the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the Aurora, Colo., movie-theater shootings.
A spokesman for the event told the Associated Press that the amount of money raised by the sold-out concert will be announced next week. The One Fund has received more than $31-million in gifts so far.
