The University of California has received a $25-million gift from a longtime donor for its business school, says the Los Angeles Times.
The businessman John Anderson, and his wife, Marion, made the gift to the School of Management, which bears his name. The gift will support academic programs, faculty research, and student aid.
Mr. Anderson is president of Topa Equities, a holding company in Los Angeles with interests in real estate, beer distribution, insurance, and other areas. The couple previously gave $15-million to the school in 1987.
Mr. Anderson graduated from UCLA in 1940 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
