Canadian Mining Mogul’s Gift Propels New International-Affairs School

The University of Toronto announced plans Tuesday for a new School of Global Affairs financed largely with approximately $35-million from the gold-mining magnate Peter Munk and his wife, Melanie, writes The Globe and Mail.

The new facility will be part of the Munk Centre for International Studies, established a decade ago with a gift from Mr. Munk. The Ontario provincial government is contributing $25-million.
