Charity Chief Gets Pulled Into Row Over Prime Minister’s Alleged ‘Bullying’

The head of a British anti-bullying charity has found herself embroiled in the controversy over Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s behavior toward his staff members, reports the Times.

After government officials denied claims in a new book that Mr. Brown had bullied subordinates, Christine Pratt, founder and head of the National Bullying Helpline, told British news organizations that several members of the prime minister’s staff had contacted her organization seeking help.

Another anti-bullying charity as well as the country’s Helplines Association condemned Ms. Pratt’s disclosure as a breach of confidentiality, and one of her organization’s patrons has stepped down over the issue, Third Sector Online reports.
