April 1, 2011
JPMorgan Chase is extending an effort to help nonprofits raise money online, adding $25-million and two years to the Facebook-based effort, writes the Associated Press.
Chase Community Giving, started by the banking giant in 2009, has thus far donated $10-million to 300 small and local nonprofit groups. Recipients are determined by a vote of people who use Facebook, with the next round set to begin May 19
The banking giant also announced Thursday that it plans to start another program to benefit small charities later this year.
