Clinton Pledges $2-Million for Haiti

During a four-hour visit to Haiti yesterday, former president Bill Clinton pledged $2-million from his foundation for earthquake-recovery efforts, according to the Associated Press.

Of the total, $1-million will go toward disaster preparedness and the rest will support the Interim Haiti Reconstruction Commission, created by Haiti’s parliament. The Haitian government is directing $1-million for the commission.
