David Koch Donates $100-Million to New York Hospital

April 2, 2013

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is set to announce on Tuesday the largest gift in its history, $100-million from billionaire industrialist David H. Koch for a new ambulatory-care center, writes The Wall Street Journal.

The 450,000-square-foot center will be named for Mr. Koch, the executive vice president of global conglomerate Koch Industries and a 25-year member of the hospital’s board of trustees.

The donation is part of NewYork-Presbyterian’s $2-billion capital campaign, which runs until 2019. The hospital has raised $1.2-billion so far.
