Disgraced NPR Fund Raiser Turns Down Aspen Institute Job

Ronald Schiller, who stepped down Tuesday as NPR’s senior vice president for development after an embarrassing video was released of him, will not take a job as a fund raiser at the Aspen Institute, as he had announced he would do a few weeks ago, the Cutline reports.

Mr. Schiller was shown in the video meeting with two people from a fictitious Muslim education group who tell him they want to donate $5-million to NPR, partly because they are concerned about Republican efforts to pull federal money for NPR.

He had previously announced his plans to leave NPR for the Aspen job, and that departure was unconnected to the video controversy.
