Former Governor’s Belongings Could Be Auctioned Off for Charity

The possessions of the former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich will be sold at auction for charity if he doesn’t settle his debt, says the Seattle Times.
Mr. Blagojevich has been storing various possessions, including a life-size statue of Elvis, in a storage facility in Arlington Heights, Ill. Paul Lombardo, owner of Boyer-Rosene Moving & Storage, said Mr. Blagojevich is more than a year past due and is accruing penalty charges.
If Mr. Blagojevich fails to settle his account, his belongings will be auctioned off on August 14. The proceeds would benefit Children’s Memorial Hospital, in Chicago.
