Fund Launched to Aid Cleveland Kidnap Victims

May 9, 2013

The Cleveland Foundation will administer a fund to raise money to help the three women freed this week after they were held captive for years in a home in the Ohio city, according radio station WLS and The Plain Dealer.

All donations to the Cleveland Courage Fund will go to nonprofit organizations to provide services for Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus, and Michele Knight. The women, who disappeared from 2002 to 2004, were rescued Monday night after Ms. Berry escaped from the house on Seymour Avenue in Cleveland and contacted police.
