Matt Damon Jokes for Water Cause in ‘Strike’ Video

February 13, 2013 | Read Time: 1 minute

Water.org is hoping to generate viral views and raise awareness for its cause with a comic video in which the charity’s founder, movie star Matt Damon, proclaims he will not use the toilet until people take the global water crisis more seriously, writes the Los Angeles Times.

The “Matt Damon Goes on Strike” clip, released Tuesday, was filmed for free at YouTube’s Los Angeles studio as part of the video-sharing site’s program to educate charities on getting the most out of video campaigns.

“The concept of experimenting with comedy to generate new levels of awareness and participation in the cause is something we’ve been toying with for a couple of years,” Mr. Damon said.
