Money Flows to Navy SEAL Charity After Bin Laden Operation

A nonprofit group that aids the families of Navy SEALs says donations have surged since a SEAL team killed Osama bin Laden in Pakistan, the Associated Press writes.
The Navy SEAL Foundation, in Virginia Beach, Va., said it took in $6,000 on Monday following the news of bin Laden’s death, up 60 percent from the previous week. Many of the online gifts were accompanied by notes thanking the SEALs for the role in the operation, said David Guernsey, the foundation’s director of development.
