The Nexus Global Youth Summit, held in late July in New York City, aimed to engage young people in innovative philanthropy and social entrepreneurship to overcome society’s toughest problems, reports Forbes.

With more than 600 attendees from 70 countries, the summit urged the formation of global partnerships and financial investments in socially responsible ways to help achieve social good.

Nexus co-founder Rachel Cohen-Gerrol said, “Nexus was founded on the hope of hurrying history. We believe that connections made at Nexus will enable global partnerships for change to happen faster than they naturally would and thus international efforts around critical issues can take shape in more efficient ways.”
