Obituary: David Logan, 93, Investigative-Reporting Benefactor

David Logan, a Chicago investor noted for backing investigative journalism, died Saturday at age 93 after contracting pneumonia following a heart operation, writes the Associated Press.
Mr. Logan’s Reva and David Logan Foundation helped finance the Center for Investigative Reporting and the PBS program Frontline and endowed a chair in investigative journalism at the University of California. It also mounts the Logan Symposium, a yearly international conference for reporters and students.
