Real-Estate Developer Tops List of China’s Major Donors

A commercial-property developer is the most generous donor in China, says Forbes.

Wang Jianlin, chairman of Dalian Wanda Group, donated approximately $197-million in cash to philanthropic causes last year, according to the Forbes China edition, including the reconstruction of a historic temple in the eastern provincial capital of Nanjing.

The second-biggest donor was Cho Tak Wong, chairman of Fuyao Glass Industry Group, who donated $158-million last year.
