Tex. Company Gives Half of Its Profits to Charity

For the past two decades, Bridgeway Capital Management, a $2.3-billion company in Houston, Tex., has donated half of its profits to social-service groups and capped executive salaries, writes Forbes.
“Since Bridgeway’s founding in 1993, we have maintained a commitment that no full-time employee at Bridgeway can make total compensation greater than seven times the total compensation of the lowest-paid employee,” says Bridgeway president Mike Mulcahy. The company’s donations go mostly to groups that work to eliminate genocide and fight poverty.
