Two California Human-Service Groups Plan Merger

Mid Valley Recovery Services, in El Monte, Calif., is merging with Social Model Recovery Systems, in Covina, Calif., writes the San Gabriel Valley Tribune. The merger is expected to be finalized by July 1, and the combined groups will operate under the Social Model Recovery Systems name. Both groups work to help people with alcohol and drug addiction problems and provide mental-health services.
