Wyclef Jean Steps Down From Charity to Run for Haiti Presidency

Wyclef Jean, the hip-hop star, resigned from his role leading a prominent Haiti charity to run for the presidency of his beleaguered home country, the Miami Herald reports.
The charity Yele Haiti announced that Derek Johnson, who headed the effort to revitalize Harlem’s Apollo Theater, would take over from Mr. Jean as chief executive.
