Yale Graduate Pledges $50-Million for New Business-School Building

Edward P. Evans, a former publishing executive has committed $50-million to Yale University for a new building to house its School of Management, Bloomberg writes.

The gift is the largest in the history of Yale’s business school, which opened in 1974.

The new building, scheduled for completion in 2013 at an estimated cost of $189-million, will be named for Mr. Evans, a 1964 Yale graduate who served as chief executive of the Macmillan publishing company from 1979 to 1989.
