Amnesty International USA sometimes requests annual support from major donors who are pledging funds for endowment.
Sunil Oommen, deputy director of major gifts at the organization, shared this example of a simple pledge form with several donation options. The one-page document enables donors to make a specific multiyear endowment pledge as well as a commitment to the annual fund.
Normally, donors receive the form after agreeing to an endowment gift amount, Mr. Oommen says. It also allows donors to indicate whether they’d like to be recognized in the organization’s publications.
